Dining at Coco Tropical
By: CD Selph
When you tire of tacos and want a great meal, stop by Coco Tropical on Playa Los Muertos, savor the international cuisine, and enjoy the spectacular view. Open for lunch and dinner and the afternoon home to one of Banderas Bay’s Bridge clubs, Heinz, his lady Rosie, and partner Andreas will tantalize your tummy and their loyal staff will serve you with professional courtesy.
Their Happy Hour features excellent two-for-one wines and beers and the mango Margueritas which tantalize your tongue and fuzzy your perception. Each day, the bar features a tapas special to counteract the spirits and welt your appetite whether you opt for fish or pepper steak or an array of pastas. Don’t forget that Wednesday’s special is Osso Buco and music is provided nightly.
The restaurant is an excellent venue for fiestas and receptions. I hosted a party commemorating the wedding of two friends and working with Heinz was a pleasure. Years of experience have honed his skills and you are wise to take his advice. When he is not overseeing the kitchen and spurring his chefs to greater heights, Heinz and fellow chefs plan November’s extraordinary International Gourmet Festival. Check the website for the schedule and mark your calendars. Chefs from all over the world participate and you will not be disappointed.
And don’t forget to tell them the red-headed Yank sent you.
