Recently two violent and with clear homophobic attacks beat the LGBTTIQ community of Mexico and the world. At the Bar Madame in Xalapa, Veracruz last May 21st, 7 people died and 12 were injured. In the attack at the Pulse Club in Orlando, Florida last June 12th until today counted 49 dead and 53 wounded.
Both attacks were carried out in places where people mostly from the LGBTTIQ community, attend to have fun while they feel safe and can be themselves. For this reason and to pay tribute to the deceased and the wounded, they called for everyone to attend this Memorial Candlelit Vigil for Victims of the violence generated by sexual orientation. We will attend in peace, with respect and carrying candles in our hands to light theway that all these free souls have taken.
