A Mexican news source paraleloinformativo.com is reporting that Fernando Bosque Mohino, the CEO of Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) which operates several airports in Mexico, including Puerto Vallarta's Lic Gustavo Díaz Ordaz (PVR) has stated UBER is being proposed for operation inside Mexican Airports. This is a huge proposal that is being considered by the Mexican Federal Commission of Transport. According to the report if Uber is approved, this could take effect in a couple of months.

In May 2016 the Deputy of Congress in Jalisco, Alejandro Hermosillo, announced UBER withdrew its interest in Puerto Vallarta because of the huge conflict with the Puerto Vallarta taxi unions. Currently UBER is NOT operating in Puerto Vallarta. See that article here.
